Also little did he acknowledge Emperor Haile Selassie's and the Ethiopian
Pan-Africa role.. what more does anyone want from Ethiopia regarding Africa--
alone and consistenly iEthiopia stood and spoke against colonialism in UN
and alll international forums. Then Ethiopian officials spoke and made
Ethiopian children Africa as if it were one country. Like the cruel insult
against Emperor Menelik 'as a slave trader'(incidentally I am now reading the
book by Paulos Gnogno on His letters, I am enjoying reading the,
not just for their content but the amazing direct sincerity they
convey.), we have an ommission of Ethiopia's role, when Nassra, Be Bella and
nkrumah and others are mentioned.

Commander Assefa for brininging out personal knowledge you know about bereket.
I am sincerely sad how much damage Ethiopia has suffered from those inside
through mistrust, misinformation and ethnic political bias. The
ideologically dislocated generation together with the ethically and western
dominated generations continue even to abuse pan-Africanism. I sent the U Tube
on Dr. Melaku Beyene to those who attended the Knowledge Exchange Conference in
London, there were some who support the current regime that found my sending
that information unacceptable. I wonder now whatever happens to
Ethiopians? Why do we fail to see those who did whatever they did and passed
away leaving behind some history to understand it-- not to flatter or condem,
but simply try to understand as accurately as possible.
I happen to see and believe Eritrea is a state now, but that does not take away
that it has always been part and parcel of the core history of
Ethiopia. So it matters to us, including to this forum, that we know how the
lies about Ethiopia and those that have been involved in Ethiopian history
continue to be spread. I think Issa Shivji, Pampazuka should not spread such
lies. If possible some of you like our Commander Assefa did should inform them,
not only people like me alone.. that is why I sent it to u to help..

I really appreciate Prof. Habte... please let us discuss these
issues.. Let us try to find some explanation why such anti-Ethiopian
behaviour by the Eritrean and Oromo and other elites. We need to promote
that history achieved through so much sacrifice that Ethiopia means
decolonisation. Ethiopia=decolonisation
We should in fact create a new manifesto on Ethiopia rejecting all the ugly
attacks and promoting the good and the job waiting to be done.. I think this
forum can generate a new Manifesto that debunks all the lies and advances the
truth and the inspiration Africa and others can appreciate coming from
Ethiopia..

Thank you very much
for the information on Bereket. I am looking for a volunteer to write to
the editor of Pambazuka about the lies that have been spread, the ommision of
Ethiopia's role. Bereket is Pan-Africanist when he supported the ELF that split
Ethiopia, the country that stood against all odds for Africa.. that record no
matter what the ethnic fractionalisers say.. resonates with historical presence
and the future.
